You should get the weight and height of your child measured. This allows you to be aware that you might have to bear some mood swings. Yes it is true that when babies go through these growth spurts they go through some mood swings as well. Your child is most likely to act a bit fussy and might all of a sudden become very clingy. He might demand you not to put him down and to carry him all around the house. Your baby might want you to feed him more. If you breastfeed then you will notice that the feeds will last longer, also your baby might also want you to feed him after every 4 to 5 hours. And if you feed your child formula then you will see that even after finishing the whole bottle your kid will still be hungry. Sometimes it won’t hurt to give him another bottle, so if he’s hungry just give it to him.

Your baby might go through these spurts at six weeks and at four to six months as well. However these spurts will last for maximum a week and that’s it. The best way to tackle these spurts is to give the baby what he wants, if he wants more feed then give it to him. If he wants to be with you then cuddle with him!
